Welcome to Red Roof, a stunning new addition to the rental market—our true labour of love. Designed and built by a painter and a sculptor, every corner of this home reflects artistic vision and meticulous attention to detail, making it an exceptional and unforgettable retreat.

Nestled between the charming villages of Keel and Dooagh, Red Roof sits just off the main road leading to Keem Bay, offering privacy and tranquility on its own secluded avenue. As you approach, take a right turn up the hill, weaving through the trees, and arrive at your own exclusive hideaway.

This remarkable home boasts breathtaking, uninterrupted views across the bay to the Minaún Cliffs and beyond to Clare Island. On a clear day, the horizon reveals Inishturk, Inishbofin and inishshark in the hazy distance, painting a picturesque scene that is nothing short of spectacular.

The House

Inside Red Roof

Master Bedroom: Super king-size bed with an ensuite, accompanied by a view that is a joy to behold.

Second Bedroom: Spacious and elegant, featuring a king-size double bed and views of Minaun cliffs.

Loft Bedroom: A cozy retreat with two single beds, perfect for unwinding. (beware the low ceiling!)

Designed for comfort, the house features underfloor heating throughout and hot water on demand. The living room is a beautiful space, showcasing a six-metre-wide panoramic window and sliding door that seamlessly connects to the outdoor space.

Some house rules:

Our house will cater for max 6 guests

We do welcome pets (no extra charge)

We don’t welcome stag or hen parties.

Check in from 15.00 – Check out 11.00

A deposit of 25% will be payable on booking.

We live right next door and are available for all queries and eventualities.

Outdoor Experience:

The expansive, paved terrace extends from the south around to the west, maximizing your outdoor living experience, whether you’re soaking in the views or enjoying the fresh coastal air. Every detail, from the décor to the furnishings, reflects the discerning eye of an artist—thoughtfully crafted to create a truly special haven.

The location:

We are located 10 minutes walk from Keel beach, suitable for swimming and surfing. The village of Keel also offers pubs, restaurants and a fully stocked local shop with offlicence. Head west towards Keem bay (10 min by car) and discover the village of Dooagh, once home to the renowned Irish artist Camille Souter. Drop into Sarah’s Kitchen for an artisan food experience.

The island boasts 3 mountains with spectacular cliff and coastal walks in a unique and remote landscape. Ask your host for options and directions.
